The tool bar for non-subscribed members

The tool bar for non-subscribed members have the buttons shown in the diagram above.

The left portion of the editor is responsible for editing objects and preview. They are used for the following tasks (from left to right):

  • Undo - you can undo/cancel the last operation
  • Redo - you can redo the last undo
  • Duplicate - make a copy of the current selected object(s)
  • Delete - remove the current selected object(s)
  • Move Upwards - bring the current selected object(s) up a layer
  • Move Downwards - bring the current selected object(s) down a layer
  • Open - you can open an image file or Chi Button design template file (.cb format) stored on your local computer with the editor
  • Abort - clicking this button will erase everyting and start a new design
  • Preview - you can use this button to preview the design's mockup

 

The right portion of the editor is used to save your design work. The buttons are (from left to right): 

  • Submit (only available to login users) - save a copy of the current design work to the Chi Button's server. Website administrators of the Chi Buttons can access this file and use it to process future orders
  • Save - you can download the current design as a Chi Button design template file (.cb) format. This file can be opened with the Chi Button Editor for future usage

 

 

The tool bar for subscribed members

 

The tool bar for subscribed members have the buttons shown in the diagram above. 

The left portion of the editor is exactly the same with the non-subscribed members' one.

The right portion of the editor is used to save/export your design. The buttons are (from left to right):

  • Submit (only available to login users) - save a copy of the current design work to the Chi Button's server. Website administrators of the Chi Buttons can access this file and use it to process future orders
  • Save - you can download the current design as a Chi Button design template file (.cb) format. This file can be opened with the Chi Button Editor for future usage
  • Export PNG (exclusive functions for login subscribed members) - export the current design as an image file (i.e. PNG format) for your future usage
  • Print/PDF (exclusive functions for login subscribed members) - export the current design for a print array so that you can use the printing for making buttons with your own tools

 

 

Objects pane (on the left)

Templates tab

You can expand the "Templates" tab by clicking the portion shown in the diagram above.

The template section contains a set of pre-design Chi Buttons templates. Each template contains one or more editable objects. You select a pre-designed template to open it with the editor, then make your own design by working with the objects. You can use the tool bar to insert and edit objects. Once finish, you can use the "Save" button of the tool bar to save your own template for future usage or orders.

 

 

Background tab

You can expand the "Background" tab by clicking the portion shown in the diagram above.

You can select a color as the design's background. Alternatively, you can select an image for the background. The background layer is placed under all other objects.

 

 

Image tab

You can expand the "Image" tab by clicking the portion shown in the diagram above.

You can insert an image provided by Chi Buttons in this area. You can also upload your own image by clicking the "Insert Image" button in this section. You can then use the controller to change settings for the selected image's 

  • Transparency
  • Remove White
  • Grayscale
  • Sepia
  • Invert Colors

 

 

Text tab

You can expand the "Text" tab by clicking the portion shown in the diagram above.

 

You can use this area to insert text objects and change their settings with the tools of this section.

 

 

Shape tab

You can expand the "Shape" tab by clicking the portion shown in the diagram above.

Chi Buttons have supplied the most common types of geometric shapes for you to use for designing. You can insert shapes found under this section.
